MARIGOT–The Gendarmerie released on Monday more details of the body found on the beach between Le Sand restaurant and the former La Belle Creole Hotel in Baie Nettle on Thursday, May 26.
It confirmed cause of death was indeed by drowning. The deceased was a man of Antillean origin between 35 and 45 years of age and of a normal body type. There was no evidence of any particular trauma to the body.
As far as physical details are concerned the man measured 1 metre 74. He had short hair, a short goatee beard and brown eyes.
There were no marks on the body consistent with tattoos, piercings, surgical procedures, or any signs of identification.
At the time of the body’s discovery he was wearing white boxer shorts of the brand “Parker” and a polo shirt of the brand “Hang Ten 2XL” with horizontal bands in marine blue and light blue.
The Gendarmerie said the man has not been clearly identified at the present time. An appeal has been launched for witnesses or for any information that can help the investigation.
