Getting rid of rubbish | THE DAILY HERALD

The second island-wide clean-up campaign in St. Eustatius started Monday. Many residents took advantage of the opportunity to register.

Employees of Statia Waste Solutions were out and about in different areas on the island. The rain did not deter the employees as they soldiered on with their work. Residents were busy stacking waste which ranged from large appliances and yard debris to other items. Truckloads of debris were hauled to the waste-management plant. The clean-up campaign will continue until Friday, October 12.
