HARBOUR VIEW–Prime Minister William Marlin, in his role as formateur, has been given a new deadline by Governor Eugene Holiday for the submission of his final report on formation of the new Government (Council of Ministers). The deadline is Tuesday, November 8.
Marlin was due to give his report on Friday, but was unable to do such as the background screening of the minister candidates is still ongoing. This is the second deadline extension.
The swearing-in of the new United People’s (UP) party/National Alliance Cabinet, which Marlin will lead, is on hold until the screening has been completed.
