A senior citizen fractured her ankle while hiking behind Guana Bay Road on Sunday afternoon.
Hikers called the Ambulance Department for assistance, but on their arrival personnel could not get to the woman and called the Fire Department to come and assist with bringing her to level ground so they could attend to her.
Two fire trucks responded to the call and lifted the woman to safety with their equipment. Ambulance workers treated the woman on-scene and she was allowed to leave afterwards.
