Commissioner Rolando Wilson had the honour to officially cut the ribbon of Mary’s Point Trail on Saturday morning. He congratulated Saba Conservation Foundation’s (SCF’s) board and staff for doing “tremendous” work on the trail and said, “Big thank you to all volunteers that assisted in many ways possible.”
He said he had observed during the hike a lot of old-time cisterns, old foundations of homes and tombs in the former village of Mary’s Point. “This trail has a lot of history. I would like to encourage schools, visitors, and the community of Saba to take time out and visit the trail,” he said. SCF rangers may be contacted if any assistance is needed during a hike.
