ANGUILLA–The House of Assembly will meet at 2:00pm on Tuesday, July 10. Business includes a motion, three bills and three questions.
The motion is in connection with the Caribbean Development Bank Recovery Support Loan. The Insurance (Amendment) Bill 2018 will have its second and third reading and the Higher Education Licensing (Amendment) Bill will also have a second and third reading. The first reading for the Inland Revenue Department Bill will also be heard.
The three questions come from Leader of the Opposition Palmavon Webster. Her first question is to ask the salary for the government Public Relations Officer and the other ministerial assistants. Her next question is in connection with the 60 million pounds allocated to Anguilla from the UK. She is going to ask what amounts have been received so far, how they have been allocated, what further receipts are imminent and when the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School and House of Assembly reconstruction will begin.
Webster is also to ask Minister of Home Affairs Cora Richardson-Hodge how long it is planned for the shift system to continue at the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School and whether provisions have been made to assist struggling parents with the purchase of textbooks.
