The fourth annual Battle of the Future competitors and their chaperones arrived on St. Eustatius on Tuesday and Wednesday. The competition is on Thursday at 8:00pm in

Carnival City (Mike van Putten Youth Centre). The five competitors from around the Caribbean are Yohance “De Executor” Benjamin (Anguilla), Drejean “Master Blaster” Canwood (St. Eustatius), Gerline “Queen Lintje” Heyliger (Aruba), Bertie “Niqo” Nicholio (St. Maarten), Terron “Invincible” Webb (Nevis). The children were met at F.D. Roosevelt Airport by promoter Cecilia De Jesus and team. The competitors were on live CTC Radio to introduce themselves to the public and to choose line-up numbers for their performance. This is the first year the competition has gone international. Previously, competitors were all Statia children.
