Hundreds of Haitian nationals filled the Cultural Centre on Back Street to capacity on Friday night for a celebration of Independence of Haiti flag day.
A manifestation was showcased by different groups during the event. Some complained about the lack of space, but the night ended on a positive note with the Haitian consul speaking to the nationals about unity and their culture. The event was organised by several Haitian organisations on both sides of the island.
