Real Auto staffers and Rotary Club members on stage during the Suzuki raffle drawing.
SIMPSON BAY–John Longlais is the lucky winner of a brand new 2018 Suzuki vehicle.
His name was drawn live on stage from amongst the entries in the Real Auto raffle held during the finals of the just-ended St. Maarten Heineken Regatta.
The proceedings were supervised by Notary Meredith Boekhoudt. As the raffle winner, Longlais can choose from amongst a new 2018 Suzuki Swift, Ciaz or Baleno. Real Auto said in a press release on Tuesday that Longlais is currently evaluating his options.
“We are happy to contribute towards St. Maarten with this raffle as we naturally want to help the community we live and work in. Suzuki is a top-quality brand and Mr. Longlais will certainly enjoy his Suzuki’s sporty features as well as its amazing performance and durability,” Real Auto General Manager Felix Nevarez said in the release.
Rotary Club of St. Maarten President John Caputo was “elated” with the raffle and the proceeds going towards the betterment of St. Maarten. “We have a special project in mind which is the purchase of a beach cleaner which will help the removal of Sargasso seaweed as well as hurricane debris, litter, etc. We are now well on our way to making this dream a reality thanks to the support of Real Auto and all those who bought a chance to win a Suzuki,” Caputo said.
