King Willem-Alexander received St. Maarten’s new Governor Amaju Baly at Palace Huis ten Bosch in The Hague on Tuesday. Baly LL.M. was sworn in by the King and will become Governor per October 10. Baly (1977), born in St. Maarten, will succeed current Governor Eugene Holiday. Until his appointment, Baly was Secretary Director of the St. Maarten Advisory Council, Acting Judge of Instruction at the Joint Court of Justice and a member of the Supervisory Board of the Central Bank of Curaçao and St. Maarten (CBCS).
