A KMar officer was injured in this head-on collision on Thursday night.

SUCKER GARDEN–A Royal Dutch Marechaussee KMar officer was injured when the white sport utility vehicle (SUV) he was driving collided head-on with a grey SUV in the vicinity of adult entertainment club El Capitan on Sucker Garden Road on Thursday night.

The KMar officer was driving the marked government SUV on Sucker Garden Road, heading toward Middle Region. The driver of the grey SUV was heading in the opposition direction.

Authorities have yet to disclose the cause of the accident. However, police said on Friday that the officer was not attempting to stop the grey SUV.

As a result of the collision, the white SUV ended up in the opposite lane, while the grey SUV was forced off the road and came to a stop after hitting a side wall.

The officer suffered a sprained thumb in the accident. The other driver was unharmed.
