PHILIPSBURG–State Secretary for Interior Affairs and Kingdom Relations Raymond Knops said on Wednesday that the Kingdom Council of Ministers will, during its meeting on May 28, be asked to reconsider the suspension placed on the fifth tranche of NAf. 39 million liquidity support loan for St. Maarten, providing that good governance is restored at Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA) as has been assured by St. Maarten.
In an interview with The Daily Herald on Wednesday, he was asked why the airport concerns had been linked to liquidity support as the conditions for the latter was considered to have been met and as the two had been separate trajectories. He was also asked what specifically St. Maarten needed to do to restore good governance at the gateway facility and whether it would not have been more prudent to deal with the airport concerns separately, by for instance, suspending the airport loan. So this little napoleon knows that he is only using delaying tactics to buy time for his unrevealed strategy, and furthermore, by suspending the support the SXM he can harass the people of SXM again and again. When this isn’t racism, you may say it. I thought the UN treaty forbid the use of blackmail.
