Former member of parliament and minister Maurice Lake has a new role in the civil service. Lake was recently appointed Head of the Department of Communications DComm.
The department is a division of the Ministry of General Affairs headed by Prime Minister Leona Romeo-Marlin. The position of DComm head was advertised, several candidates were interviewed for the post, and Lake was selected for the job from that pool. He took up his new post as of Monday filling the spot left by former head Rodney Richardson. Richardson is now in charge of communications for the prime minister’s cabinet. DComm is responsible for managing and disseminating all government-related information via radio, television, print and online.
