Just a few of the volunteers working with Les Fruits de Mer Association.
MARIGOT–Les Fruits de Mer Association has acknowledged the support from the public for what it described as its most amazing year ever.
It listed some of the highlights in 2018: the launch of Amuseum Naturalis in the Old House, made possible by hundreds of donors and volunteers. More than 4,000 volunteer hours were spent building Amuseum and more.
Les Fruits de Mer hosted 3 very well received events; the Endemic Animal Festival, Amuseum Naturalis Open House Launch and the Migratory Bird Festival. Samplings of what makes St. Martin special were shared in a half-dozen short films about local nature and culture. The association grew to more than 100 members around the world.
“We have big plans and exciting projects ready to go in 2019. Be a part of it all by joining or renewing membership for 2019. Whether on St. Martin or far away, we want you to be a part of what we do. Membership is only 25 euros and makes our fun, educational activities possible.
“Do you file taxes in St. Martin? Did you know there is a tax reduction of 80 per cent for donations to St. Martin organisations by individuals or businesses? Reduce your taxes by supporting Les Fruits de Mer Association.”
