LIAT cancels flights due to Hurricane Jerry | THE DAILY HERALD

PHILIPSBURG–LIAT announced that due to the impending passage of Hurricane Jerry that several flights to and from St. Maarten have been cancelled on Friday.

  These flights are LI342 from Antigua to St. Maarten, LI342 from St. Maarten to Tortola, LI343 from Tortola to St. Maarten and from St. Maarten to Antigua, LI312 from St. Kitts to St. Maarten, and LI313 from St. Maarten to St. Kitts.

  Passengers will be allowed to rebook their flights between September 19 and 23, with all change fees/fare differences being waived within the specified rebooking period, said LIAT on its Facebook page. Affected passengers can contact the airline’s Reservations Call Centre via tel. no. 1-888-844-5428 or by sending an e-mail to

reservations@liat.com.

  However, passengers who decide to travel but are unable to complete their journey due to disruptions caused by the weather conditions will not be provided with meals, transportation, hotel accommodation, said the airline, adding that passengers with onward connections are advised to contact their respective regional and international carriers.

  “LIAT will continue to operate its normal flight schedule in the unaffected territories in the network,” said LIAT.

  LIAT said it regrets any inconvenience caused by these cancellations as a result of the passage of Hurricane Jerry.
