LIAT cancels flights due to TS Karen | THE DAILY HERALD

PHILIPSBURG–LIAT advises passengers that due to the passage of Tropical Storm Karen several flights to and from St. Maarten have been cancelled on Tuesday in the interest of passenger and crew safety.

  The cancelled flights are LI342 from Antigua to St. Maarten, LI342 from St. Maarten to Tortola, LI343 from Tortola to St. Maarten, and LI 343 from St. Maarten to Antigua.

  “Affected passengers must contact our Reservations Call Centre to rebook and all change fees/fare differences will be waived within the specified rebooking period,” said the airline on Tuesday morning.
  Passengers on these flights must rebook between September 23 and September 26.

  LIAT also reminds passengers that today, September 24, is the last day to rebook flights free-of-charge for the cancelled flights on Saturday, September 21.
  Persons can rebook cancelled flights by calling LIAT toll free at 1-888-844-5428 or by sending an e-mail to

reservations@liat.com.
  Passengers who decide to travel but are unable to complete their journey due to disruptions caused by weather conditions will not be provided with meals, transportation, or hotel accommodations, said LIAT, adding that passengers with onward connections are advised to contact their respective regional and international carriers.
  LIAT also said it will continue to operate its normal flight schedule in the unaffected territories in the network.
  LIAT apologises for any inconvenience caused by the passage of Tropical Storm Karen.
