The three-day Caribbean Living Statues Festival 2015 opened Friday evening with the “Statues at Night” event at and near St. Rose Arcade on Boardwalk Boulevard. Organised by Beyond Kultura Events Foundation, in partnership with the World Statues Foundation and Arlene Halley of National Institute of Arts, the festival continues today, Saturday, and Sunday. Throughout the weekend, approximately 30 living statues are expected to go on display around the Courthouse in the heart of Philipsburg from 12:00 noon to 5:00pm. The closing Statues Parade Catwalk and prize-awarding ceremony will take place in front of the Courthouse on Sunday, 4:00 to 5:00pm. (John Halley photo)
