Local brand launches second UNITY T-shirt | THE DAILY HERALD

PHILIPSBURG–Local St. Maarten clothing brand Affirmative Apparel and its representative SXM Young Ambassadors launched their second positive T-shirt, called #SXMUNITY!

This T-shirt was inspired by the Unity Flag and was designed after Hurricane Irma to exemplify the unity and resilience St. Maarten’s people exhibited after facing devastation and the hope for #ONE UNIFIED SXM Nation.

The official launch of the SXMUNITY T-shirt was held at University of St. Martin on Saturday, June 2. The T-shirt was presented to Rhoda Arrindell, one of the persons very instrumental in the coming together with the unity Flag.

Affirmative Apparel’s mission of in collaboration with St. Martin Promoting Young Ambassadors (SMPYA) Foundation is to spread positivity with their T-shirts. Angelique Romou representing SXM Young Ambassadors said part of the proceeds will be donated to a chosen cause.

Sister Marie Laurence School and Jabari York were the recipients of funds raised with the #SXMSTRONG positive T-shirts.

The SXMUNITY shirts will be sold for US $30 in black or red ladies’ tank tops, black ladies’ V-necks and black regular unisex T-shirts. To order shirts visit Affirmative Apparel SXM Facebook page and place orders, as stock is limited.
