PHILIPSBURG–Youth entertainment group Laugh Out Loud (LOL) Productions is continuing its entertainment platform for youngsters on the island and decided to organise a small gathering for youngsters to unwind at the parking lot of the Philipsburg Cultural Centre on Back Street from 6:00 to 11:00pm this Saturday.
The group said in a press release on Thursday that they applaud the move of both governments to begin school for children as this move is a positive way forward for youngsters trying to cope with the passing of monster Hurricane Irma last month.
LOL is collecting school materials internationally and other essential goods specifically geared towards young people who lost most belongings during the passing of the major storm. Saturday’s event is being organised in collaboration with the Cultural Centre and will be free of charge for one and all.
Youngsters are encouraged to wear pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to be on their best behaviour during the five-hour event. Youth groups are slated to perform for the special evening and youngsters are encouraged to come out and enjoy the gathering of their peers. Music for the event will be provided by Double D and sound by deejay Siw’roo.
LOL also thanked other organisations that donated items to youngsters during these trying times.
