MARIGOT--Luciana Raspail has been appointed Director General of the Chambre Consulaire Interprofessionnelle de Saint-Martin (CCISM), following a proposal by the President of the institution. The appointment comes as Raspail marks 15 years of service at the CCISM, where she has built her entire professional career.
Raspail joined the CCISM in 2011 as a secretary. Over the following 15 years, she took on increasingly senior responsibilities, working as an assistant at the Business Formalities Centre, Export Project Officer, Head of Business Support, and Deputy Director.
Her career has given her experience across many areas of the CCISM’s work, including supporting businesses and members, business formalities, international development, project management, team management and strategic leadership.
Alongside her professional experience, Raspail has continued her education. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management, a Master 1 in Management and International Trade, and a Master 2 in Human Resources.
Her appointment therefore represents the latest step in a career shaped by experience, continued training and increasing responsibility within the institution.
As Director General, Raspail aims to strengthen the CCISM’s role as a local institution, a partner to businesses and a driver of economic development in Saint-Martin. Her priorities include developing a better understanding of the local business community and anticipating its needs, while providing services that create concrete value for businesses.
She also plans to support the continued transformation of the institution by improving efficiency, developing the use of data and evaluation, strengthening the autonomy and skills of teams, launching new projects and partnerships, and diversifying resources to strengthen the CCISM’s long-term ability to act. Business support, entrepreneurship, training, youth, innovation, and regional and international development will remain central to this work.
Raspail said the new position represents both an honour and a responsibility, and emphasised the importance of continuing to learn, develop and work collectively with elected representatives, staff, partners and businesses in Saint-Martin.
Immediately following her appointment, Raspail travelled to Paris with the President to attend CCINERGIES, the annual seminar of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry network, as well as Choose Outre-mer, organised by the ministry responsible for Overseas France. The visit included working meetings with major national consular networks, including CMA France and Chambres d’agriculture France, as well as with overseas partners such as ACCIOM, COIREMA and FEDOM, and with the ministry responsible for Overseas France. The aim is to strengthen the CCISM’s relationships with its partners, represent Saint-Martin and mobilise national and overseas networks in support of businesses and the territory’s economic development.
The CCISM’s President, elected representatives and staff have expressed their support as Raspail takes on what the institution describes as a key position for Saint-Martin. “This new stage will be collective. It will be built with our elected representatives, my team, our partners and, of course, the businesses of Saint-Martin.”
