Man arrested for burglary attempt

PHILIPSBURG–One man was arrested as a suspect in an attempted break-in in Cole Bay at approximately 12:20am Sunday, April 16. A police patrol, after receiving information of a burglary in progress at Money 4 Gold, immediately went to the scene to investigate.

On the scene, the patrol saw two unknown men at the rear of the building. The patrol and two off-duty officers who came to assist surrounded the building.

However, one of the men took off running, jumped over a nearby fence and disappeared into the area. The other suspect stayed on the scene and did not resist arrest.
