PHILIPSBURG–Police patrols were sent to Bush Road on Saturday evening where a man T.C., well-known to police, was standing at the entrance to Blijden Drive with a machete in his hand.
According to the police, on the scene police officers encountered the man who started behaving aggressively by walking towards the patrol in a menacing way. He was ordered by the officers to drop the machete, but he refused to do so.
The police officers had to use the necessary force to disarm the suspect. The suspect was immediately arrested and the machete was confiscated for further investigation. The suspect was taken to the Philipsburg police headquarters where he was detained for questioning.
