Man arrested in Statia for assault with weapon | THE DAILY HERALD

ST. EUSTATIUS--A man was arrested on John E. Mars Road in St. Eustatius on Friday, November 13, for assault with a weapon.

The Caribbean Netherlands Police Force KPCN reported on Tuesday, November 17, that suspect R.D.R. (27) had hit a man on the head with a bottle during a fight at a location on Heyligerweg on Tuesday, November 10.

The victim was taken to Queen Beatrix Medical Centre (QBMC) by ambulance for medical treatment as a result of the injuries he sustained, the police said. The suspect fled the scene.

After a police investigation, suspect R. was arrested at another location with the permission of the Prosecutor’s Office.
