PHILIPSBURG–A man M.H.K. who lives on Dollison Drive in Cul de Sac reported to police that two unknown armed men had forced their way into his home while he was asleep around 1:30am Monday.
Police reported on Tuesday that the suspects had demanded drugs from the victim, but he could not comply with their demands. The victim was pistol-whipped several times and suffered lacerations to his head.
A shot accidently went off while the victim was being ill-treated. The victim then fled to the home of a neighbour to seek help and to notify the police. He was treated on the scene by paramedics and then taken to St. Maarten Medical Center for further treatment.
The suspects did not succeed in stealing anything.
