The quietness of the night was shattered early Saturday morning when a man was gunned down in a street in Dutch Quarter. The incident occurred around 1:30am.
When The Daily Herald arrived on the scene the man’s body was still lying on the street in front of a vehicle believed to be his and police and detectives were busy conducting their investigations. Acting Police Spokesperson E. Josepha, who was on the scene, confirmed that a man had been murdered, but did not have much more details at the time as the investigations had just started. A crowd of onlookers gathered around the scene commenting on the incident. Many persons in the crowd claimed to have known the victim.
