MARIGOT–A 24-year-old St. Martiner G.W., well known on the island as a dancer, sustained a bullet wound in the buttocks region during an armed robbery that took place Tuesday night.
The victim was one of two persons who were held at gunpoint in their apartment in Baie Nettle by two masked intruders. Additionally, the pair were both tied up and forced to lie on the floor. The circumstances as to how G.W. got shot were not clear.
The robbers escaped with US $300. The victims managed to free themselves and call for an ambulance. G.W.’s injury was said to be not serious as the gun used was a small calibre weapon.
Capitaine Emmanuel Maignan said on Thursday, the perpetrators are still at large.
