ST. EUSTATIUS–A wide range of activities will be organised this week to ring in the holiday season in St. Eustatius. Buzzy Bees Day Care Centre will be the first in a long row.

The Centre will be holding their annual lighted parade today, Monday, 6:00pm-10:00pm.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, Statia’s Christmas Red and White Parade will be held. This annual Parade will start at 3:30pm at Charlie’s Place and will end at Mike Ernest van Putten Youth Centre/Lion’s Den in Concordia.

After the Parade, a Christmas Fair will be held with many items on sale. One of the organisers said that anyone wishing to have a booth can contact Marcella Gibbs.

The Methodist School will be hosting a Christmas Fair on Wednesday afternoon, starting at 4:00pm. The school will be decked out in decorations, and goodies will be on sale.

On Thursday evening a “Bringing the Spirit of Christmas” event will be held at the Statia Day stage. The event will start at 7:00pm.

One of the organisers said they want to showcase persons who are normally not seen participating in events to grace the stage, via a song, poem, et cetera. Also, a variety of items will be on display for purchase.

On Friday, Walters Construction will be sponsoring a cycle-thon for all ages. The event will start at 12:00pm at F.D. Roosevelt Airport and ends at Sandy Road. There will be a bike race for children ages five to 12 years old. There will be a total of 10 bikes that can be won by participants. Signup for the event is free. Persons can contact Dwayne Lindo, Marietza Patrick, Lenaria Brown, Iligia Jones and Minushka Woodley for registration.
