Several piles off Guana Bay beach have attracted the attention of many residents. The Inspection Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure VROMI has indicated the piles are not for construction, but are a result of a maritime accident that occurred on Sunday afternoon. The piles are part of a working station that was cut loose during the accident for which the Coast Guard was called in to tow away the attached boat. The department has requested the Coast Guard to provide the owner’s name so he can be contacted to remove the structure from Guana Bay as soon as possible, said the Office of Minister Christophe Emmanuel.
