MARIGOT–Several Winair pilots have passed a Sea Survival course given by the Aviation Department of Maritime School of the West Indies (MSWI).
The course is instructed in accordance with SMCAR Part 8.10.1.13. The school is authorized to offer safety courses to airline and other pilots.
All the pilots passed the theoretical and practice tests and had a fun day. In addition to the Sea Survival course, the school also offers In-Flight Fire Training and Fire Prevention in accordance with the requirements of SMCAR PART 8.10.1.13 and FAA ADVISORY CIRCULAR AC120-80.
The Maritime School of the West Indies offers mainly Professional International Yacht Training MCA endorsed Maritime courses, such as the STCW, Master 200 Ton, Small Powerboat and RIB, Superyacht Hospitality and others, all World Wide recognized.
As the school’s rental building has been destroyed in Marina Royale, Marigot, the courses are instructed temporarily in hotel conference rooms and at private buildings until a new location is opened.
