Men’s Week honourees.
ANGUILLA–Under the theme “Celebrating 50 Reflecting! Evolving!” the Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that Men’s Week 2017 will start on June 17. As it falls within the 50th Anniversary celebrations a cross section of men born in 1967 have been chosen to be honoured. “Reflecting” will trace the growth and development of the eight honourees as well as the persons who influenced their lives in the early years of their development and “Evolving” will capture their thoughts and aspirations moving forward. The eight will be interviewed on Radio Anguilla during the week by Phyllis Fleming-Banks.
The programme will start with an opening address by Minister of Home Affairs Cora Richardson-Hodge and on that day there will be a Father and Daughter breakfast at DaVida Restaurant. On Father’s Day there will be celebrations in the respective churches.
The eight men to be honoured are Arnie Hodge (Social Security Board Human Resource Manager), Oliver MacDonna (Manager MacDonna’s QFC), Merwyn Foster Rogers (Permanent Secretary), Wilfred Richardson (electrician), Delvin Fleming (Sergeant Royal Anguilla Police Force), Basil Reid (barber), Ashton Brooks (barber) and Carlisle Adams (Maintenance Foreman from the Port Authority).
