Metre reading course

A week-long training in utilities metre reading, conducted by Henk Bartels, was attended by a group of persons from the Netherlands, Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius.

The training was held in the conference room of St. Eustatius Utility Company STUCO. Participants from Statia were Austin van Heijningen, Esmond Hook, Wilma van Zoest and Rueben Lopes (STUCO). Philbert Ryner, Jonas Charles, Jerome Matthew and Ronald Hassell were from Saba Electrical Company. Rupert Toré, Theo Clappers and Maximi Chirino represented Bonaire.

The training related to the amended law on measuring units and instruments for Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba “IJkwet” that came into force on January 1. All participants from the Netherlands, Bonaire and Saba received a welcome package from St. Eustatius Tourism Development Foundation.
