Firefighters and Motorworld staffers with some of the items that were sponsored.
COLE BAY–Motorworld has sponsored Meguiar’s Professional Car Cleaning and Care products, as well as Armor All Protectant, to assist firefighters with the quality cleaning of the cars during their fundraising car wash and bar-b-cue, which will be held this Saturday, March 23, from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
The event is being held in aid of Philipsburg Jubilee Library and is being coordinated by St. Maarten Fire Fighters Foundation (SXMFFF), a non-profit organisation with a mission that includes providing assistance with diverse community projects.
Foundation President Glenn Macnack thanked Motorworld “for their generous contribution and support towards a great community project and worthy cause.”
Motorworld Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rena Amjad: “With the hard work and dedication exhibited by our local firemen towards fire safety and prevention, we felt it necessary to support the great efforts that they are going above and beyond to champion, as we echo their concern for the rebuilding of the library, as well as their other community causes.”
Additionally, one of the main events held by the foundation every year is the Fireman’s Ball. The annual ball will be held at Port De Plaisance on March 30, from 8:00pm to 4:00am with performances by Onyan Effect, Control Band and DJ Black Boy. Food and entertainment will be available and special announcements will be made of more community activities by the Foundation.
