MP, Smith continue talks about school status today | THE DAILY HERALD

 

PHILIPSBURG–Parliament will resume its discussion with Education and Youth Minister Wycliffe Smith on the status of the schools for the 2018-2019 school year and the state of sports and arts facilities and programme today, Friday, at 3:00pm in Parliament House. The urgent plenary meeting was suspended on October 11.

The discussion on the status of the schools focuses on teacher shortage, preparedness for the 2018 hurricane season, the safety emergency management committee and the emergency guidelines for schools, the school bus policy, and implementation plan.

The public meeting was requested by National Alliance (NA) Members of Parliament (MPs) Silveria Jacobs, William Marlin and Ardwell Irion.
