PHILIPSBURG–Milton Peters College (MPC) will be having its second term report card meetings for the 2017-2018 academic year during the week of March 19 to 23.
During this period there will be a shortened class schedule whereby class periods will be 35 minutes instead of the regular 45 minutes. This is to ensure a minimum cancellation of classes, school director Wim de Visser said on Thursday.
The lesson periods will be: first period 7:30 to 8:05am; second from 8:05 to 8:40am; third period 8:40 to 9:15am; fourth period 9:15 to 9:50am; recess from 9:50 to 10:10am; fifth period 10:10 to 10:45am; sixth period 10:45 to 11:20am; seventh period 11:20 to 11:55am; eighth period 11:55am to 12:30pm; and ninth period 12:30 to 1:05pm.
“With this schedule, the students will definitely have classes until the seventh period (11:55am) according to their regular schedule, as all meetings will start after 11:55am,” De Visser said.
The eighth and ninth periods will be cancelled only if there are report card meetings for that specific form and/or if the teacher is unavailable.
Parents and guardians should make the necessary arrangement to have their child(ren) picked up from school. Transportation will be provided to children who normally travel to the different districts by bus.
