PHILIPSBURG–Members of Parliament (MPs) will continue their discussions on land in long lease “Erfpacht” in St. Maarten during an urgent public plenary session at 2:00pm today.
The public meeting was adjourned on May 29. Minister of Public Housing, Spatial Planning, Environment and Infrastructure Miklos Giterson will be present.
The agenda point is the current situation regarding Erfpacht land in St. Maarten, what is currently being collected, what is owed to the government and policies by the Ministry of VROMI to improve these issues.
The meeting was requested by MPs Rolando Brison, Egbert Hurendy Doran, Frans Richardson and Christopher T. Emmanuel.
The public can follow the session in person at the House of Parliament located across from the Court House in Philipsburg. The session will also be carried live on St. Maarten Cable TV Channel 115, 107.9fm, 98.1fm, www.sxmparliament.org, www.pearlfmradio.sx and Parliament’s Facebook page: Parliament of Sint Maarten.
