PHILIPSBURG—St. Maarten Bodybuilding and Fitness Association (SMBBFA) will be holding its annual national championships tonight in the Tropicana Ballroom, above Tropicana Casino in Simpson Bay.
The athletes have been in the final stages of preparation for the bodybuilding and fitness categories and more than ready to show just how far they have taken their bodies in the pursuit of perfect form, spending countless hours of training and following strict diets to achieve their goals.
The Championships have been in existence for 18 years already and tonight’s show will showcase another group of talented athletes dedicated to the sport and lifestyle. As usual there will be a mix of seasoned athletes and newcomers.
“We call on all bodybuilding and fitness enthusiasts, weight watchers, fitness buffs, and everyone else to come out and support and witness what our athletes have been preparing so intensely for….great physiques!” SMBBFA said in a release. “Winning athletes will then be preparing for the 2016 Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships to be held in the Dominican Republic at the end of September.”
Doors open tonight at 7:00pm with the show starting promptly at 8:00pm.
“We urge the general public to be on time. Those who attended our last two national shows can attest that we do start the show promptly. There is direct access to the Ballroom and children are allowed as they do not have to go through the casino. Tickets can be bought from Van Dorp Eddine and Nature’s Discount, at both locations.”
During the evening food, snacks and drinks will be on sale. BPI Sports, a new and economical supplement company and one of the main sponsors of the show will be selling their products and providing information about the brand. BPI is represented by four-time Mr. Olympia, Jay Cutler.
Fit Foods will also be there offering healthy, invigorating and energetic snacks and bars for sale.
SMBBFA encourages the public to come out for the show. Get a seat early and be amazed, encouraged and motivated by what you see on stage.
