New Director of Services at the Préfecture introduced | THE DAILY HERALD

Julien Marie

MARIGOT–The Préfecture has officially introduced Julien Marie (42) as the new Director of Services in the Cabinet of the Préfecture of St. Martin and St. Barths.

  Marie succeeded Grégoire Pierre-Dessaux in the role and took up his position at the beginning of September 2020.

  He was previously employed in the Cabinet of the Préfet of Martinique where he held the positions of Deputy to the Inter-Ministerial Service of Defence and Civil Protection and Deputy to the Legal Affairs and Litigation Department before becoming the Team Leader in the Office of Prevention and Public Order.

  The new director has solid experience in fighting delinquency, management of administrative policies in institutions receiving the public, and coordinating teams.

  He brings more than 10 years of experience in Martinique and the Caribbean in general to his new role in St. Martin which he is keen to fulfil to its fullest potential.

  It was noted that his appointment includes special attention to be paid to security relating to public order and protection of the population.
