Thammy Albertsz
KRALENDIJK--Thammy Albertsz will take office as General Commander of the Caribbean Netherlands Fire Department on August 16. She succeeds Thijs Verheul, whose term expires the day before.
Albertsz (35) was born on Bonaire and has worked for the fire brigade since 2018. From 2022 she has held the position of local commander responsible for, among other things, daily management of the organisation on the island.
“Behind every call-out stands a team that commits itself with pride, respect, and dedication to the safety of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba. It is an honour for me to lead that team as General Commander. Collaboration, connection and safety are central to this,” said Albertsz.
