SOUTH REWARD--The new gym at Milton Peters College (MPC) is expected to be completed by the end of the fourth quarter of 2026, while five other school gym projects are scheduled for completion between the first and third quarters of 2027.

The completion timelines were provided by the National Recovery Program Bureau (NRPB) in a post on its Facebook page concerning the Emergency Recovery Project I (ERP1) School Gym and Community Sports Facilities Upgrades.

According to the information, work at MAC Browlia F. Mailard in St. John’s Estate, St. Maarten Academy, and Sister Regina School is expected to be completed by the end of Q1 2027.

The works at Sundial School are expected to be completed by the end of Q2 2027, followed by the old gym at MPC, which is expected to be completed by the end of Q3 2027.

Environmental and Social safeguards are in place to ensure the safety of students and school personnel.

ERP1 is implemented by the NRPB on behalf of the Government of St. Maarten. The project is financed by the Government of the Netherlands through the St. Maarten Trust Fund and administered by the World Bank.
