St. Maarten now has new 15- and 25-year-old blended Scotch whisky thanks to Dewar’s and local official distributor CC1.
The whisky blends were introduced at a tasting and masterclass conducted recently by Bacardi International Brand Ambassador Carlos Maestracci at Emilio’s restaurant. New Dewar’s Scotch 15 Year is an intermediate expression, expanding upon the 12- and 18-year-old in the line-up. This Scotch blend has up to 40 whiskies aged and married in ex-sherry and bourbon casks. The 25 Years Old is made up of malt and grain Scotch whiskies. The resulting whisky was then decanted into oak casks to mature further, before being transferred into freshly emptied into Royal Brackla casks for finishing. “What you will find is a marriage of unique flavours along with some traditional Dewar’s elements. It is a great representation of women in the liquor industry and in terms of flavour profiles, it cannot be matched,” Maestracci said.
