PHILIPSBURG--November 10 is the deadline for all political parties to register with the Electoral Council to contest the February 9, 2016, Parliamentary Elections.

The deadline was set in view of the publication of the National Decree No. LB-15/0951, dated October 28, that sets the elections for February 9, 2016, and the nomination day for December 23, 2015.

The following documents should be submitted to the Electoral Council with the application for registration of the political party: Notarial deed containing party’s the Articles of Association, an excerpt from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, statement containing the appointment of the party’s authorised representative and authorised deputy representative with proof of identification and contact information, and application for registration of the reference to be placed above the list of candidates.

Any existing political party that wishes to change its previously registered reference above the list of candidates is required to do so before the deadline.
