Nine honoured

Prominent Women (PW) Foundation honoured nine women of distinction at its International Women’s Day event. Recipients were Helen Hart (Arts and Entertainment), Tricia de Mas-Rogers (Business); Brunilda Illidge (Education), Mercedes Webster (Family), Alexia Ferdinand (Government), Valerie van Putten (Media), Chenelle Moses (President’s Award), Ruby Bute (Lifetime Achievement) and Oldine Bryson-Pantophlet (Leadership). Bryson-Pantophlet received the AML Leadership Award from its namesake Alicia M. Liverpool. “These nine women have been bold for change in their respective areas of the community and impacting others all the while (in most cases) their work unsung,” said PW President Ramona Riley. Keynote speaker was Member of Parliament (MP) Tamara Leonard who challenged awardees to analyse their perceptions of success and encouraged them not to settle but to keep pursuing their versions of success.
