Sex workers at Curaçao’s tolerated and regulated “Campo Alegre” brothel called the police and expressed grievances to local authorities when they subsequently held a control there.
The 150-room prostitution camp near Hato airport is closed due to the current coronavirus threat. The foreign women brought in on six-month exotic dancer’s permits complained about – among other things – not being allowed out and having to buy their own food from the restaurant inside.
