The United Unions of Bonaire “Usibo” received massive community support during a public meeting for their demand to reverse the 3.5 per cent cut in benefits of the Pension Fund Caribbean Netherlands PCN per April 1. An ultimatum was issued to the Dutch Government that has since passed. Kingdom Relations and Home Affairs Minister Ronald Plasterk did ask for more time, but the unions representing civil servants, education workers and healthcare personnel have started mobilising for unspecified protest actions.
