POINTE BLANCHE–Cruise ship Norwegian Escape will make an unscheduled visit to St. Maarten on Tuesday. Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has changed the ship’s itinerary due to inclement weather forecast in the vicinity of Belize. The ship will join MSC Divina in port. Port St. Maarten Management said in a press statement it is pleased that NCL has selected St. Maarten out of a number of other Caribbean destinations, and looks forward to stakeholders welcoming guests on Tuesday by ensuring they have a wonderful experience while here. Norwegian Escape made its inaugural visit to Port St. Maarten in July 2016. The vessel is one of NCL’s biggest ships of the Breakaway Plus class. Two more Breakaway Plus ships are expected to be launched in 2018 and 2019.
