The Caribbean Netherlands Police Force KPCN conducted traffic controls in St. Eustatius on Friday, August 28, during which seven fines were issued to motorists for violation of the traffic ordinances.
Motorists were halted at various locations on the island, such as in Lower Town (in photo). More than 15 vehicles were checked. The police patrols conducted at the Lower Town, Sandy intersection and other locations controlled and checked more than 15 vehicles.
Persons in Statia welcomed the controls due to several near misses with vehicles with expired registrations.
