PHILIPSBURG--A safety notice posted at the main customer entrance door of utilities company NV GEBE has drawn attention for reasons beyond the message it was intended to deliver.

The notice asks customers not to wear hats, hoods or sunglasses when entering the building, citing safety.

However, two noticeable spelling mistakes appear on the sign, with “safety” written as “safty” and “employees” written as “empoyees.”

The message remains clear: hats, hoods and sunglasses are not allowed. But at GEBE, the electricity and water company, it appears the lights were on while the spell-check was taking a break.
