PHILIPSBURG–Ombudsman Nilda Arduin will present the 2016 Year Report of her office to Parliament today, Friday, in a Central Committee meeting scheduled to start in Parliament House at 10:30am.
This will be the final year report Arduin will put before Parliament as her seven-year term in office comes to an end in October. The selection of a new ombudsman is ongoing.
Also on the agenda for today’s meeting is the approval of the decision lists of several past Central Committee meetings for the current Parliamentary Year, the composition delegation and provisions for MPs to participate in several Committee meetings of the Latin American Parliament Parlatino August 18 to 19 in Panama.
The session will be live on St. Maarten Cable TV Channel 120, Pearl Radio FM 98.1, www.pearlfmradio.sx and www.sxmparliament.org.
