With an average annual income measured per member of the population in Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba of respectively US $22,400, $26,100 and $24,200 in 2016, the so-called BES islands did relatively well when compared to others in the region.
Only that of Puerto Rico was higher, while in Curaçao it came out at $19,300 and in Aruba at close to $24,000. Obviously, this says nothing about the cost of living or doing business.
