Oyster Bay Resort sets re-opening for June 1

OYSTER BAY–Oyster Bay Beach Resort is slated to re-open on June 1, after renovations and upgrades spurred on by the damage from Hurricane Irma in September 2017. This timeshare resort was one of several at which guests were sheltered and taken care of during and after the hurricane hit the country.

In the aftermath, the property was used to house first-response personnel, Dutch military and police officers who were flown in to aid with the recovery efforts.

The first phase of renovations at the resort included work on the infinity pool and hot tub, restaurant and bar, and lobby and courtyard.

Forty units in mainsail have been restored along with 24 units in the marina front building, nine units in the pool/ocean front building, and 12 units in the lobby/reception building. Also restored are the fitness room, guest laundry, Shipwreck Shop, Bodega by the Bay, and Indulgence by the Sea Spa.

Bodega by the Bay is located at the entrance pier to Oyster Bay Marina, and the resort’s “corner grocery store” that offers not only full-service groceries, take-out lunches, gourmet selections, and champagne for a special occasion, but it also serves as a great place to get together, lounge in the ultra- comfortable outside umbrella-covered veranda, sip fine coffee and espresso, eat freshly-baked croissants and watch the nautical operations on Oyster Pond, which is home to three different marinas.

Indulgence by the Sea Spa is just steps away from resort rooms and is the resort’s full-service, on-site spa.
